Since 1994, The European Institute® regularly confers the Transatlantic Leadership Award to a leader in the transatlantic community who has made a significant contribution to European-American relations. This award is not an annual rite. Rather, it is reserved for those occasions when an individual has exercised unique leadership to the demonstrably common benefit of both Europe and the United States. Past recipients include:
